About Darcy
Born and raised in Melrose Park, Pennsylvania, Darcy pursued her dreams of becoming a designer. After graduating from Drexel University with a degree in Fashion Design, she went on to study in Paris. By 2000, she was working in New York City as the Head Designer of the luxury outerwear company, Damselle. In 2006, her very own label “Darcy Law by Damselle New York” had made it to Nordstrom and specialty stores across the nation.
In pursuit of fulfilling her ultimate dream, Darcy set out building her own business designing one of a kind couture wedding gowns, special occasion dresses, and accessories. Darcy emphasizes the importance of understanding her client and their visions, and focuses on making the perfect dress in order to enhance each woman’s beauty and confidence.
About Her Designs
Ideas for Darcy’s designs come from infinite sources, such as music, nature, architecture, unique character traits in people, or from simply being in a particular mood. She pulls inspiration from just about anywhere, and by tapping into her creativity enables the inspiration to take shape and form. Her designs evolve beautifully into something new with every manipulation, fabric tendency, and a combination of other elements.
Darcy’s philosophy of design begins first with an open mind and a clear focus in bringing her visions to life. Design is intricate and complicated, and it is through focus and intent that brings order to design. At the same time, however, it is vital to understand that problematic circumstances play a integral role in creation. It simply is not enough to execute to perfection. The best creative solutions are born out of what the untrained eye might label as a mistake. The results are that her visions have come to life, befitting and beautiful to its wearer.
